18.15 - 19.00: Bridging the Gap between Project Management and Business Analysis: Are Project Management and Business Analysis the same thing? Why are they often governed together in a PMO (Project Management Office)? What skills are required for each role? Which are you? Come and learn how Project Managers and Business Analysts are in fact complementary to each other and are an excellent team example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.
19.15 - 20.00: Communications, Communications, Communications: One reason for discord and sometimes outright failure in a project is poor communication. Who is responsible for the proper communication? Is it the PM? Well, it turns out everyone is! Join us and explore some effective communication techniques to improve your effectiveness in communicating your message to your audience.
ΣΥΝΤΟΜΟ ΒΙΟΓΡΑΦΙΚΟ ΟΜΙΛΗΤΗ
Tom Karasmanis is a Senior Consultant with over 23 years' experience in Information Technology, including roles as a business architect, business/systems analyst, project leader, technical architect, and software engineer. He has worked in healthcare, public sector, banking, financial services, insurance, supply chain, telecommunications, and retail. Most recently Tom was Manager at CGI for over eight years where he managed the Business Analysis Practice within the Management Consulting Group and consulted to numerous clients on methodology, business analysis, and project governance. His expertise includes business process analysis, project methodology, and assisting organizations to set up and improve their business analysis practice.
Tom serves as Chief Architect of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®). Tom also provides consulting, corporate training, and is a speaker at various events. He is a member of the IIBA® Toronto Chapter. Tom holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto and is active in the business analysis and business architecture communities. Tom resides in Toronto, Canada with his wife and daughter.

Η εκδήλωση και η Γ.Σ. θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο αμφιθέατρο της εταιρείας JP AVAX (Αμαρουσίου – Χαλανδρίου 16 και Δελφών) που παραχωρείται ευγενικά από την JP AVAX για τον σκοπό της εκδήλωσης.
